SHIPPING CONFIDENCE REACHES HIGHEST LEVEL FOR TWO
AND A HALF YEARS.
Konig & Cie have reported that
according to the latest shipping confidence survey conducted by
accountancy firm Moore Stephens, overall shipping confidence levels
in the industry have risen to their highest levels since November
2010. In May 2013, the average confidence level expressed by
respondants was 5.9 out of a possible 10; a figure higher than even
that collected earlier in Feburary. A number of respondants indicated
that they felt that many positve signs exist which show that recovery
is now well and truly underway. Increased enthusiasm over new
investments was also reported despite persisting doubts over the
availability of bank loans and finance. “The Shipping market is
dynamic in nature and we are starting to see signs of exponential
growth.”
